Funeral
A funeral is used to mark the end of a person’s life here on earth. Family and friends come together to express grief, give thanks for the life lived and commend the person into God’s keeping. These can be a small, quiet ceremony or a large occasion in a packed church.

The Church of England’s ‘Funerals’ website is full of information about what to expect at a church funeral (including a church-led service at the crematorium or cemetery), with lots of practical ideas to help you plan a meaningful farewell for a loved one, as well as offering opportunities to help you reflect and pray at what can be a difficult time.
If you would like your funeral at St James or St Pauls please do get in touch.
